Homeschool Field Day: Preservation in the Real World

  • 1889 Courthouse: Tower Heritage Center 320 South 5th Avenue West Bend, WI, 53095 United States (map)

April 8 | 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

We know that not all classrooms have four walls. The Tower Heritage Center invites homeschoolers once a month to engage in Washington County’s early history through hands-on activities. With artifacts, stories, and immersive sites – we bring history to life, where it happened.

This Spring’s unit study is ‘The Wonders of Washington County’s Historic Buildings.’ Homeschoolers will be diving into the hidden marvels of old places – learning about architectural styles, building arts, and what preservation means.

  • $50 for the unit study (5 classes) - OR - $12/class

    • Mar 11 - Why it Matters: Wonders of Historic Sites

    • Apr 8 - Field Day: Preservation in the Real World

    • May 13 - Workshop! Celebrating National Preservation Month

  • Geared for ages 8-14

  • Classes are held at the 1889 Courthouse, from 10 am – 12 pm
